1994: Creation of SOROCAL Sarl in Noum\u00e9a. Originally based in Numbo in a small warehouse.<\/p>\n

2003: The company moves to the industrial zone of Ducos (economic heart of the island) where it will be established in a larger warehouse to facilitate production and storage.<\/p>\n

SOROCAL currently employs 15 people full time.<\/p>\n

SOROCAL specializes in rotational molding, the process of which allows the manufacture of hollow bodies by introducing micronized polymer powder into a mold, itself exposed to a heat source and rotated biaxially.
\nThe material used is LLDPE or MDPE treated anti-UV and food in order to be able to withstand the climatic conditions of New Caledonia and to meet the standards in force.<\/p>\n

In addition, SOROCAL also has a strong know-how in plastic boilermaking, giving it the possibility of carrying out tailor-made works for its customers. Rotational molding in New Caledonia<\/h3>\n

Rotomolding, due to its name, characterizes the action of molding under the effect of rotation.
\nThe basic material is medium density polyethylene in the form of a micronized powder which will be introduced in a finished quantity into a steel or cast aluminum mold with fixed dimensions. All finished products will be closed or open hollow type.<\/p>\n

This mold is then subjected to high temperatures for a given time and also to two axes of rotation ensuring a homogeneous distribution of the powder over all of the internal walls of the mold.<\/p>\n

Under the combined effect of heat and rotations, the plastic will melt and marry the interior shapes of the mold, this is called COOKING.<\/p>\n

Once the cooking is complete, the mold is subjected to COOLING by air and water in order to set the shapes of the product.<\/p>\n

The latter will be DISMOLDED by opening the mold and equipped according to its end use.<\/p>\n
