According to standard EN 1825.2 The separators should be emptied, cleaned and filled with clean water at least once a month and, preferably, every two weeks ”.

FUNCTIONING

The starch separator works by settling.
The starch-laden water arrives through the inlet sleeve (1). This effluent is immediately sprayed by the sprinkler nozzle internal to the separator (2). Starches have the particularity of producing foams. It is therefore necessary to fold them down so as not to saturate the device and to prevent them from going up through the pipes.
The opening of the sprinkler must be controlled by the operation of the peeling machine via a solenoid valve.
