Rotational molding in New Caledonia

Rotomolding, due to its name, characterizes the action of molding under the effect of rotation.
The basic material is medium density polyethylene in the form of a micronized powder which will be introduced in a finished quantity into a steel or cast aluminum mold with fixed dimensions. All finished products will be closed or open hollow type.

This mold is then subjected to high temperatures for a given time and also to two axes of rotation ensuring a homogeneous distribution of the powder over all of the internal walls of the mold.

Under the combined effect of heat and rotations, the plastic will melt and marry the interior shapes of the mold, this is called COOKING.

Once the cooking is complete, the mold is subjected to COOLING by air and water in order to set the shapes of the product.

The latter will be DISMOLDED by opening the mold and equipped according to its end use.
